Lions Club International is the worlds largest and most effective community service organization, with more than 1.4 million members. The West Seneca Lions Club was chartered February 20, 1953. We are members of New York District 20N Lions For membership in our West Seneca Lions Club and any Lions Club worldwide, simply ask a Lions member for more details. Then attend a meeting with a sponsor, and see for yourself the good fellowship and good service a Lions Club can offer you as you develop your personal skills. Club Projects · Support the New York State and Buffalo Eye Banks · Support Guiding Eyes a training and placement facility for assistance dogs · Blind and Hearing Seals · Habitat for Humanity Home Builds · Donate vision aids for vision impaired residents. · Support Sightless Bowlers in the community · Distribute Christmas baskets to the needy · Provide Scholarships to West Seneca High School graduates. · Provide a Sight Conservation program for those who cannot afford eye exams and eyeglasses · Provide a Hearing Conservation program for those who cannot afford hearing aids · Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raisers · Pancake Breakfast Fund Raisers · St. Patrick's Day Party Fund Raiser · Music and Youth Band · Handicapped Christmas Party. · Monthly Parties at the West Seneca State School. · Donation of to the Large Print Library · Support the Variety Club Telethon. · White Cane Day Fund Raiser · Built and support the West Seneca Band shell. · Help fund and built a Habitat for Humanity House · Maintains a loan closet for residents- wheelchairs, walkers, crutches. · Publishes a West Seneca Phone Book. · Other projects throughout the community.
